Seljestad
Our cabins are situated 650 meters above sea level, by the E134 between Odda and Røldal. The cabins have a magnificent view overlooking Folgefonna, Norways 3. biggest glacier, in the north, and the wild and beautiful Seljestad gorge in the south. The cabins and apartments are of different sizes. All well equipped and of good standard. Reasonable prices.
Seljestad has a beautiful scenery, and there are countless of hiking-possibilities. During the winter you can do cross-country, as well as downhill-skiing. In the summer, in addition to the many hiking-trails, there are also possibilities for fishing and bathing.
Seljestad is a very good starting point for excursions to the many sights and attractions that our region has to offer. Some of our great sights are:
- Seljestad Gorge: The old road between Seljestad and Røldal is open during the summer. Beautiful views of wild Norwegian nature at its best.
- Odda Valley – Valley of the waterfalls: The “king” of the waterfalls in this valley is Låtefossen, an internationally famous attraction.
- Røldal Stavechurch: The church is from the 13-century, and is among other things known for its sweating crucifix, said to have healing powers.
- The Buer Glacier: The glacier is an arm of Folgefonna, with possibilities for glacier-hiking.
- Sørfjorden: A spectacular Fjord in striking Hardanger.
For pictures and more information about these and other sights- see our “attractions link”.
Welcome to Seljestad!
